Weekend Getaway to Dieng Plateau

After a month of French and driving lessons, I insisted my cousins that I fill up my hiking quota for this summer. I needed to get away from the city. On the trip were Fadil, Lya, myself, and our newest pack-member, Della. So for this year's mountain program, the pack and I headed to the Dieng Plateau.

Dieng is a special place - calm, cold, and relatively clean. They host an annual jazz-centered festival called the Dieng Culture Festival, which concluded with the iconic cutting of children's "gimbal" hair. Its a place where city people can cool off their large, hotheads and enjoy some nature.
